Tectubi Raccordi has completed the acquisition of OMP Mongiardino

We are pleased to announce that Tectubi Raccordi has completed the acquisition of 100% share of OMP Mongiardino.

The acquisition represents a further step forward in the strategy of growth and consolidation of the Allied Group, and will strengthen even more the positioning in the market as a global “One-Stop-Shop Solution Partner”.

Founded in 1968, OMP Mongiardino was the first Italian company to manufacture by hot induction and cold bending large-radius elbows for oil & gas pipelines and several types of industrial or civil plants.

In 2009 OMP Mongiardino entered in the Allied Group through a joint venture with Tectubi Raccordi (OMP Mongiardino-Tectubi Raccordi Bending Division), aimed to serving with a wider range the EPC companies for projects requiring both fittings and bends at the same time.

The company produces large radius bends and clad bends in the industrial hub in Carbonara Scrivia, Alessandria, Italy, on a total area of 50,000 sqm and with a yearly capacity of 15,000 tons of bends addressed to the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power Generation, Nuclear Power and Subsea sectors.

Both hot induction and cold bending processes are used for carbon and alloy steel for moderate and elevated temperatures, high yield steel, carbon and alloy steel for low temperature service, stainless steel, austenitic/ferritic stainless steel, nickel alloy, titanium alloy and aluminium alloy.

The cold bending method is the result of a registered industrial patent used exclusively by the company and enables the production of bends up to 60” diameter. The hot bending method employs two induction bending machines (model Cojafex PB 600 and PB 1000) and a new electric induction machine (Schäfer SRBMI 1400) for bends up to 56” diameter.

In conclusion, we are confident that this prestigious acquisition will carry new business opportunities and benefits to all the Clients and Suppliers of the Allied Group.
